Fireco Quality Policy
This is the Quality Policy of Fireco Ltd. Fireco shareholders attach great importance to the quality standards of the business operations. It is therefore the policy of Fireco to develop and maintain a Quality Management System that conforms to the requirements of the International Standard ISO 9001:2015, so that the business can provide and maintain a consistent high quality in all work undertaken in all areas of the business.
The corporate objective of Fireco Ltd is to achieve long-term profitability by designing, manufacturing and supplying a range of Fire Safety products and services which are easy to use and to install. They must meet the requirements of our customers and conform to all applicable legal or statutory requirements in UK and international markets in both services and products offered by Fireco.
It is the aim of Fireco Ltd to provide its customers with cost effective and reliable products and services to assist them in meeting their compliance needs.
Fireco’s Quality Management System will ensure that operating procedures and systems are in place to achieve and maintain the highest standards of performance. By continuous monitoring and measurement of this delivery, opportunities for continuous improvements will be identified and implemented.
Implementation of this policy and its processes is the responsibility of the Quality Management Team.
The aim is to make sure all members of staff fully understand their impact on the Quality Management System and its processes in alignment with ISO 9001:2015. This will be achieved through building quality processes and measures into normal operations with regular Internal Audits and training sessions, complemented by an open policy of relevant documentation.
Fireco WEEE Compliance Statement
The WEEE directive (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) requires that manufacturers of electrical and electronic equipment who sell into EU countries label their equipment to notify customers that it needs to be recycled, and ensure that their products are appropriately disposed of or recycled at the end of their lifespan. Products labelled with the WEEE symbol (a crossed-out “waste bin”) indicates that the final user should not discard the product along with household waste, but that it must be treated separately.
Fireco Ltd complies with the requirements of WEEE and our producer registration number is WEE/FA0292UQ. Any electronic products sold by us as a producer to businesses are covered by our registration with the WEEE Compliance Scheme
Fireco RoHS / RoHS2 / RoHS3 Compliance Statement
The original RoHS is EU Directive 2002/95/EC pertaining to the Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE). EU Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS2) is an updated/recast version of RoHS, and EU Directive 2015/863 (RoHS3) adds four substances to the list.
Based on information obtained from our component suppliers, to the best of our knowledge products manufactured by Fireco do not contain the substances listed in the table below in concentrations greater than the listed maximum value. The restricted substances and maximum concentration values banned under RoHS are:
Fireco REACH Compliance Statement
The requirements of REACH registration of substances that are used in the manufacturing of articles do not apply to Fireco’s operations. Fireco’s products are “articles” as defined by REACH but do not release substances under their normal use. Suppliers of articles must provide recipients with information on Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) if present above a concentration limit of 0.1% on an article level. Fireco products do not contain any of the currently listed SVHC.
Fireco Modern Slavery Policy
Fireco are committed to ensuring staff and any workers it supplies (directly or indirectly) are not subject to behaviour or threats that may amount to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and/or similar human rights abuses.
Fireco are committed to ensuring our approach to tackling modern slavery in our own business and throughout our supply chains is consistent with our disclosure obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We all have a responsibly to be alert to the risks, however small, in our business and in the wider supply chain.
This statement sets out Fireco’s actions to understand all potential modern slavery risks related to the business and to ensure steps are maintained to prevent both slavery and human trafficking.
Our Business
Fireco is a fire safety product manufacturer based in the UK, supplying customers primarily in the UK with some overseas sales. Fireco primarily sources within the UK however some parts are sourced from overseas for commercial reasons this includes China.
Our Policies
Fireco’s Modern Slavery Policy alongside our Corporate Social Responsibility, Anti-Bribery, Ethical, Environmental and Public Interest Disclosure policies reflect our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.
Our Processes for Managing Risk
In order to assess the risk of modern slavery, we use the following processes:
- Identify and assess potential risk areas when considering taking on new suppliers and
regularly review our existing supply chains - If an area is identified as higher risk the appropriate additional checks will be carried out
to mitigate the risks. - Review the potential for risk at regular intervals, including the possibility of re-auditing a supplier or conducting spot checks.
- Protect whistleblowers.
- The risk are reviewed regularly and any changes to procedure will be advised to all individuals
with responsibilities in the risk areas.
Training
To maintain awareness and ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business our Modern Slavery Policy is included in our Staff Handbook. This has been incorporated into our induction programme.
Our Commitment
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Fireco’s slavery and human trafficking statement. This policy will be reviewed at least annually as part of the ISO9001:2015 procedure.
